Our mission is to work with the home and church to provide a Christ-centered, spiritual, academic, and physical foundation in a safe, nurturing environment to produce godly men and women who are a transforming influence in their world!
We believe students thrive in small classes where teachers can provide personalized attention to help each student achieve to his/her highest God-given potential.
We strive to provide pathways for our students to exercise good citizenship, developing their own God-given abilities and talents and providing opportunities to serve and to lead in our communities — including our school, churches, local area and beyond.
Music in Elementary School:
1st and 2nd grades will learn the basics of music theory and receive instruction while playing rhythm instruments. Students will learn classic songs and are taught to sing in a round. They also prepare for the Christmas musical and other performances throughout the school year.
3rd-6th grades are taught beginning to intermediate music theory. These students also enjoy playing the rhythm instruments and will learn to play the recorder. They will be preparing for the Christmas musical and other performances throughout the school year. Susan Natt is the instructor for the music classes.
Junior High 7th and 8th grades are able to participate in the worship team.
To help our students become bold communicators, able to listen, to write, to speak, and to use other mediums such as art and music to communicate effectively, persuasively, and confidently they are expected to participate in our Annual ACSI Spelling Bee.
The top 2 Spelling Bee winners in each of the grade school years go on to compete against other Christian schools in our area and if they are successful can then go on to compete at the State Level in Sacramento and finally the national level.
Previously, Julianna, one of our elementary school students, went all the way to Washington DC for the Annual ACSI Spelling Bee finals and did very well. She placed 14th out of 30 in the nation.
Students in first through eighth grades have the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills by participating in our Speech Meet. The purpose is to help students develop communication skills and techniques to speak audibly, articulately, expressively, exhibiting poise and confidence in audience situations. During the Speech Meet, students present their selection before a panel of three judges who score them. Those receiving the highest scores in each grade participate in the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) District Speech Meet.
